Fire Alarm
System Evaluation and System Upgrades
Orlando
International Airport
Orlando, FL
Owner:
Greater Orlando Aviation Authority
The
initial project
consisted of an evaluation of the Fire
Alarm Program at the Orlando International Airport to
include the main terminal, Airsides 1, 3, and 4, and the
parking garages. The result of the evaluation was a
series of recommendations to the Authority.
The second and third projects included the development
of a
project scope, assessment of a sole source contractor
proposal and validation of the project cost for a
substantial upgrade to the Landside and
Airsides 1, 3 and 4 areas at Orlando International Airport.
The project was part of the remaining fire alarm program
work to bring the fire alarm system into a fully
addressable and operational mode in compliance with
current building codes as well as ADA requirements.
